Congratulations, rose manning and Rachael, you won Veggie Tales: Silly Little Thing Called Love on DVD Please email theaverageparent [at] gmail [dot] com within two business days to claim your prize.

SillyLittleThingI have had so much fun with the Valentine’s Day Giveaway Bash and I’ve given away some really great prizes over the last week. Today, I’m excited to bring you a chance to win a copy of copy of Veggie Tales: Silly Little Thing Called Love on DVD. This collection includes 3 classic stories of “true” love – with lessons in Loving Your Neighbor (The Story of Fibber-O-Loo), Loving Your Family (Duke and the Great Pie War), and Loving God (Madame Blueberry)! Between each story, new animation featuring the “Veggie Kids” (as voiced by real children!) share their thoughts on love as only kids can! Also included are “Silly Love Songs” from their popular Silly Song series – “Endangered Love,” “His Cheeseburger,” “Love My Lips!,” and “The Bunny Song”!

If you’re not familiar with VeggieTales, let me take a moment to let you know what they’re all about. This best-selling animated series was created by Big Idea, Inc., a leading faith-based studio and producer of children’s and family programming, characters and brands. Since 1993, VeggieTales has sold more than 53 million videos, 13 million books and more than 7 million CDs, and the studio’s two theatrical releases, Jonah-A VeggieTales Movie (2002), and Universal Pictures’ and Big Idea’s The Pirates Who Don’t Do Anything-A VeggieTales Movie (2008), are distinguished among the top ten most successful faith-based films of all time.

Weekly Tip

“Oh, The Places You’ll Go” End of School-Year Tradition

It’s not too much longer till the school year comes to a close, so I wanted to share this amazing idea I found on…you guessed it…Pinterest. You all know the book Oh, The Places You’ll Go from Dr. Seuss. It’s a great graduation gift. But, Lisa from Lisa’s Workshop suggests grabbing a copy when your kid is young. At the end of each school year, give it to your child’s teacher to sign or write a note. When you’re child graduates (hard to think of!), you’ll have a lovely gift to give him/her. Lisa has even included some lovely tags in her blog post, so make sure to go check it out.
