six o'clock scrambleThinking of holiday gifts? I have a good idea for you… If you follow me on facebook, or if you remember my earlier review, you know just how much I love The Six O’Clock Scramble. I’m constantly bragging about all the great meals I’m able to make from this cookbook. It’s super easy to follow and all the recipes are healthy and affordable to make. You just can’t get any better than that. And I’m not the only one who thinks so. Scramble author Aviva Goldfarb has been featured featured in O Magazine, Real Simple and Working Mother, and is a weekly contributor to PBSparents.org’s Kitchen Explorers.

But that’s not all. In addition to the Six O’Clock Scramble cookbook, Aviva also offers parents a chance to streamline their weekly menus with the Scramble Weekly Plan. For less than $3 a month, you can sign up to get an email every Wednesday with a newsletter, five family-tested healthy meals with side dish suggestions and a corresponding grocery list. You can use all the meals in your weekly newsletter, or swap any recipe for one in their database that fits your fancy. The grocery list is automatically updated with your choices.

Discount

And, in in the spirit of giving Aviva is offering a special deal for you:

Between now and December 25th, you can get special savings on all gift subscriptions or subscriptions for yourself with the promo code HOLIDAY10.  You’ll save $5 on all 6 month gift subscriptions (just $24.50 after discount), $2.50 off 3 month subscriptions (just $17), and $10 off 12 month subscriptions (just $44.50).

“Oh, The Places You’ll Go” End of School-Year Tradition

It’s not too much longer till the school year comes to a close, so I wanted to share this amazing idea I found on…you guessed it…Pinterest. You all know the book Oh, The Places You’ll Go from Dr. Seuss. It’s a great graduation gift. But, Lisa from Lisa’s Workshop suggests grabbing a copy when your kid is young. At the end of each school year, give it to your child’s teacher to sign or write a note. When you’re child graduates (hard to think of!), you’ll have a lovely gift to give him/her. Lisa has even included some lovely tags in her blog post, so make sure to go check it out.
