Update 6/27 – I’m happy to report that the website is now offering tickets for this promotion. As I suspected, there was a glitch in the system…but all seems to be fixed. If you weren’t able to get tickets over the weekend, try again today. The tickets I got were valued at $90 each…so this is a deal worth pursuing.

Update: I’m hoping this is some sort of glitch, but it appears that this promotion is over. I tried to redeem my code today [saturday, june 25] and there weren’t any available seats. The office is closed on the weekend, so I am going to hold on to my receipt and call the 1-800 number on monday. Will keep you posted.

Please Note: This promotion is sponsored by Kroger, not The Average Parent. Any questions should be directed to the phone number or website listed below.

B_3510_ccbd982d29f7Check out this hot deal I found in the Kroger ad this week:

If you purchase $150 in a single transaction with your Plus Card at any area Kroger family of stores Thursday, June 23rd thru Wednesday, June 29th, you’ll get get TWO (2) Tickets (While Supplies Last) to the Brickyard 400 FREE. When bought my groceries, I was pleased to learn that the total is BEFORE coupons…so it’s pretty easy to reach.

Now, you do have to buy a few certain products, but it’s totally easy to do. Your purchase must include any two 24 packs of Coca-Cola products and five participating Kraft products (see the picture). These are totally easy to include becasuse almost all of them are on sale this week. Triscuits and Wheat thins are $1.99 and Easy Mac is 10 for $10. It doesn’t specify what type of tickets you get, but general admission tickets run $30 a piece. So, it seems like a good deal to me.

Here’s the fine print: Your $150 total excludes fuel, pharmacy, gift cards, alcohol and tobacco purchases. Ticket voucher will print on your receipt. To Redeem, go to www.IMStix.com/Kroger or call 1-800-822-4639 and mention Kroger offer and voucher number from receipt. Limit two offers per household (Total of 4 Free Tickets). Limited Offer. While Supplies Last. Shipping Charges May Apply. Trademarks used with permission from Indianapolis Motor Speedway, LLC and Brickyard Trademarks, LLC. Buy 2 COCA-COLA PRODUCTS

  6. So i went to get my tickets and there were no seats avaliable after I entered my code. So i guess this is a joke to get you in Krogers to buy grocerics and then cant even get the tickets. Try June 24th and had no luck and have tried everyday after that and still cant get tickets.

  7. I spent $165 at Kroger today as well, in hopes of being able to redeem for these tix. Having same problem, no tickets available. Wondering if anyone has had any luck???

  8. It appears Kroger knew or should have known the promotion was closed, but they continued to issue qualification codes based on your over $150.00 purchase. At that point did it become a scam, because all it took was a simple computer entry to cancel the promotiom.

  9. I have tried to call twice and the office has been closed. Now I tried the website and it said the seats are not available??????? I am wondering if it is a scam? It did say while supplies last but geeeze already!!!!!!

  11. I read on some random guy’s blog that it worked but he posted it on the 24th. I bought my groceries this evening and tried using the code just like all of you and it said seats not available. I am going to call Monday and see if I can find something out.

  12. It just worked for me today. I spent $254 yesterday and I just went to the website and it totally worked. Try again.

  13. It is Monday, June 27 @ 9:00AM. I SM4Fcalled IMS about the

“Oh, The Places You’ll Go” End of School-Year Tradition

It’s not too much longer till the school year comes to a close, so I wanted to share this amazing idea I found on…you guessed it…Pinterest. You all know the book Oh, The Places You’ll Go from Dr. Seuss. It’s a great graduation gift. But, Lisa from Lisa’s Workshop suggests grabbing a copy when your kid is young. At the end of each school year, give it to your child’s teacher to sign or write a note. When you’re child graduates (hard to think of!), you’ll have a lovely gift to give him/her. Lisa has even included some lovely tags in her blog post, so make sure to go check it out.
