rebeca  Tuesday, February 7, 2012

Acts of Kindness

rebeca  Tuesday, January 3, 2012

I know I sound like a broken record when I talk about Pinterest, but I just love that site. I find so much inspiration and great ideas for projects. Just a couple weeks ago, I came across a pin for a blogger who did 38 random acts of kindness in honor of her 38th birthday. [...]

Average Parents can help Family Involved in Fatal Car Crash

rebeca  Tuesday, December 7, 2010

Upon speaking of death, a friend once noted that if you lose a spouse, you’re considered to be a widow / widower. If you lose your parents, you’re considered to be an orphan. But, if you lose a child, there simply aren’t any words. The pain is so unbearable that we can’t even come up [...]

rebeca  Wednesday, October 27, 2010

When I was a kid, we used pillow cases to collect candy on Halloween. It was really exciting, but let’s face it, nobody needs that much candy. But, it’s not like you can just throw it away. (I think that’s an actual crime in some states!) So what do you do with all that loot?

“Oh, The Places You’ll Go” End of School-Year Tradition

It’s not too much longer till the school year comes to a close, so I wanted to share this amazing idea I found on…you guessed it…Pinterest. You all know the book Oh, The Places You’ll Go from Dr. Seuss. It’s a great graduation gift. But, Lisa from Lisa’s Workshop suggests grabbing a copy when your kid is young. At the end of each school year, give it to your child’s teacher to sign or write a note. When you’re child graduates (hard to think of!), you’ll have a lovely gift to give him/her. Lisa has even included some lovely tags in her blog post, so make sure to go check it out.
